Online management courses for retraining in your forties

Hello, I’m mid 40s and haven’t been a manager for 20 years. I’m looking at online courses for a management Level 3/4 but so many places have negative reviews. I can’t get the time off work for a full time course and our local college doesn’t have any suitable evening classes.

Has anyone had any recent experience in this area and can help point me in the right direction!?! I’ve been in leisure all my life but trying to move away from it as I get older! Would appreciate any help thank you!

No one's answered yet, so a few thoughts. For management, the two names employers recognise most in the UK are CMI (Chartered Management Institute) and ILM. Both are taught through approved centres, many of them online, so check a provider is listed as an approved centre before you pay. That cuts out a lot of the poor-review ones.
Before choosing a level, it's worth pulling 5 job adverts for the role you actually want next and checking whether they ask for a qualification at all. Many ask for experience of leading people more than a certificate. If that's the case, a Team Leader/Supervisor apprenticeship through your current employer, or a step up to supervisor in leisure first, might get you there faster and cheaper than a Level 4.
