Msc in 40s

I recently decided I wanted a change in career.

My son is older, and I feel like I've reached my earning potential/mental health limit at my current job.

I have looked into an Msc in the area I am interested in, and meet eligibility.

What I'm worried about is finances.

Am I correct in thinking there isn't much support financially when doing a postgraduate. Not like a maintenence loan.

I will continue to work, but I might have to cut my hours to facilitate the course, and don't want to struggle.

Does anyone know the ins and outs of the process?

Your right, there may be grants you can apply for either directly from the uni or depending on the sector from different bodies within that but otherwise it's basically a loan. If you have a specific unit in kind there student services or finance dept may be able to help. 42 & finishes msc part time last year x
