Referee hasn't sent reference and deadline is Monday!

I'm so stressed about this. So the reference options were:

1. I upload the reference
2. The uni directly asks my referee for it - he asked me to select this option but when the link came through he said the system crashed and he couldn't submit. He said he will happily submit if another link comes but the application seems to just trigger one link.

The upshot is, the uni wants ME to submit the reference directly but my referee hasn't replied to this request to send it to me in 5 days. I sent a polite follow up after 3 days but still nothing. Monday is the deadline.

Has a delay like this happened to anyone and they still got to do the course?

I would email him again copying in the relevant contact email for the Uni.

i have copied in the uni so they can try to resend the link you had issues with if needed.

Uni, we have had issues with the technical side due to the link not working. I would be grateful if you could extend deadline to give Mr X above time to complete this.

That way- you’ve let uni know it’s a him issue not a you issue and it will give him a nudge to get on with it.
