MA application- how long until decision?

I’ve applied for a Masters degree at 3 different unis.

I’m just wondering, how long after applying did you hear if you were accepted or not?

I guess it varies by institution. However, I’d also say that it’s better to have a good idea of your chances earlier in the process. Did you have face to face conversations with tutors at each place before applying? And did they encourage you to apply?

Are you waiting to be called for interview, or??

(My experience, in late middle age, was that I saw something I wanted to study at just one institution, emailed the course leaders, was invited for an informal chat, encouraged to apply, sent in the forms, was called to interview and then waited - knowing that they wanted to accept me. It was all terrifying - but I was able to feel fairly confident whilst waiting.)
