Would appreciate any recommendations for a laptop that can handle a heavy workload of article reading, downloads, the usual academic paper stuff. I have looked online but I would appreciate real world feedback. At the minute ASUS seems a good shout.

Lenovo, HP are good too.

I have an ASUS one and it’s brilliant. Good sized keyboard, light, quick to boot up and holds a charge for about 5 hours.

I meant pretty much any laptop in the world could handle browsing articles. It's not exactly a processor or memory intensive activity.
I'd concentrate more on the size and quality of the screen, so text is comfortable to read and not too small. Other than that, a nice lightweight one so it's easy to carry around?
Oh and make sure it runs and is fully compatible with Windows 11. Windows 10 will stop being supported in October!
