3 A levels equivalent courses

To anyone that will read!

I am planning on studying again but need 3 a levels or equivalent.
I only have an AS level which means nothing as it was graded D and have an NVQ3 in childcare.

From what I’ve read the nvq3 is equivalent to 2 a levels but I need one more. Does anybody know how or what I need to do to get that other a level.
Or should I just complete a course that covers all 3 a levels.

I have no idea what to do as I left school in 2005 and am sure the grading has changed since then too. I’m so embarrassed I have no qualifications or skills to my name.

Thankful for any advice.

Could you do an Access course?

If you have a clear idea what you want to study talk to the admissions tutor - they will be best placed to tell you what combination of qualification they accept. They are often more flexible for a mature student.

Thanks @Soccermumamir @Miloarmadillo2 my immediate thought was access course but they cover 3 a levels and I was just hoping to get the 1 that I need.

I want to do a legal apprenticeship so was hoping to do something less lengthy so I could apply next year. I haven’t spoken to any companies yet
incase they reject me for asking but I probably should.
I also have a baby!
Thank you for your replies.

The barrier to getting an apprenticeship is going to be getting a job at a company that offers them - so it makes sense to talk to a few of them about what they are looking for. The training provider will care about bums on seats govt funding so they are less likely to be picky about which qualifications you have beyond their baseline. I doubt any company would mark you down for trying to better yourself and become more qualified! Good luck!

Do the access course. You haven't studied for so long you'll need to demonstrate your study skills are at the level equivalent to 3 A levels.
