I just read this and thought what a wonderful story :).

I went to art school at 38 and it took me 5 years to get my fine art degree (I was studying part-time) and it was definitely worth it.

Like the lady in this story I also managed to sell work both online and I am regularly exhibited by two different galleries. In my last last art show I was showing work next to Tracey Emin's paintings and I got to talk to her briefly.

It is not an easy journey as it is difficult to make money from art only but I am loving it.

I think it is so great to see older people achieving their dreams later in life.

Indeed!

She certainly epitomises the spirit of this board - which was started to support people asking themselves the question Am I too old …?
