Funding advice

I've had a lot going on in my life and I've had a bit of a breakdown. I've been off work for a while now and redundancy is on the cards as part of a bigger change. It seems like a good time to take a break and I am keen to do some study. I could do a phd or a second masters. For the PhD, I don't know how to secure opportunities and for the masters, I'm not sure how I can find it. Does anyone have tips or advice?

In England at least, you can access student finance for either, not sure about elsewhere.

Or look for funded PhDs.

There are funded PhDs in most subjects but it is likely to be very competitive

Why not talk to your tutors from your previous Master’s course - they should be able to suggest the best route to your chosen PhD topic. And possibly the best funding sources.

You’ll need to talk to them anyway as you’ll need references.

Oops sorry missed that crucial word.
