Doing a 2nd undergrad in 40s - looking for inspiration!

Hi all,

I did a politics degree after A levels and now in my 40s am starting over with a chem/biology degree with OU. Have saved up and resigned from my job to do years 2 and 3 full time. All courses gone well so far (have worked really hard and it hasn’t been easy, but is enjoyable).

Rest of the degree has a number of exams and so far has been mainly assignments. Already feel a bit of dread if I can pull of exam success. I did a lot of exams v successfully when younger, studied Spanish A level after uni in my 20s etc, but that was 20 years ago. Looking for any tips or inspiring stories of people doing exams successfully when older. Is it possible to do as well as you might have done when younger??

Thanks so much!

I hope you’ve found some inspiration from looking through other threads, @Elizo - several of them address strategies for managing study at a mature age.

Presumably you are doing a second first degree for necessary vocational / professional reasons?
