I find myself with some spare time every week and I'd like to do some further study. Possibly a distance learning degree.

I wondered what everyone else is studying? I'd love to do sociology or anthropology. Anyone
Doing that?

I did a sociology degree with the OU and it was absolutely brilliant 🤩

@Catchlock - as you say further study you presumably already have a first degree? So would be considering a Master’s? (Don’t do a second first degree! Complete waste of time.)

If so you need a fair degree of self motivation! Have you made any progress in investigating courses?

I'm shortly finishing a Masters in Public Policy (should be writing dissertation now rather than mindless scrolling on here). When I've finished that I either want to do a PhD in the same area or a second Bachelors degree in a totally different area to my first.

You need a lot of enthusiasm for what you're studying and discipline to sustain further study as an adult - in my opinion - especially alongside working but it you have that it's very rewarding. I've enjoyed my Masters immensely and worked a lot harder than I did as an 18yo undergraduate.
