I'm a L3 TA, worked with KS1 and KS2 and considering retraining as a teacher.

Just wondered if there's anyone around who did this? And what the route was?

Hi @Grabbing2024ByTheBalls do you have a degree already?

@whitenoisemachine Hello Smile I do have a degree! Not in education (not sure if that matters!)

@Grabbing2024ByTheBalls nope, not usually. I have an English degree and I was a teacher.

I wasn't a TA first but if you have a degree then a PGCE is an option. I did mine a long time ago now but I don't think there are any incentives for primary teaching anymore.

Have you approached your school? Often schools offer a funded route to work and train.
