I've been a SAHM for four years now and am currently half way through a Gov Skills Bootcamp in web development.
I'm really enjoying it, had been something I've been thinking about for a while and thankfully found it enjoyable and getting my head around it and want to learn more. My plan was use some of the skills I have learned and move more into a digital marketing/design role as my background is design and I have some previous experience with social media management.
However, I'm just very daunted at the thought of job searching after so long out the workforce. I just wanted to see if anyone had similar experiences and advice - should I do more training after alongside a part time role? Are they very competitive? I'm just daunted at the thought of competing against people with ore professional experience/education in these areas.
My plan is to complete this course, find a part time role and then try and brush up on my Adobe skills - i have a lot of experience with Photoshop but haven't used Illustrator/InDesign since uni for example. I have freelance design experience, some social media and on this course have learned HTML/CSS/JavaScript etc.
Thank you!
