ILM level 3

My employer is offering ILM level 3 leadership and management course which I have put my name down for.

A few years ago they offered employees to do the Business Administration level 3 course which I did and gained a distinction. I did struggle at the time and wanted to quite but kept at it and am so pleased I did.

Now I've put my name down for the ILM I'm doubting that I'll be able to do it, mainly because I now have a toddler and am only working part-time. But I really would like the challenge and I always like to keep learning and broaden my skills.

I need to look at the long terms gains of doing this course and the qualification and the end of it. I want to better myself for the sake of my family.

So, those who have done ILM courses, did you find it beneficial? Did it help you change jobs or careers or get you a promotion?

I know nothing about this (and @acupofteamakeseverythingbetter may already have made up her mind, either way,) but it might be helpful for others if anyone has any knowledge or experience to offer?

I would also be interested in hearing anyone's stories on this

I did this, it was a 3 day course and then a 1000 word essay. With a catch up in the middle to see if you needed any help with the essay. 1000 words is not much, the whole thing doesn’t take up much time at all. It may have helped me get my supervisor job a few months later, but I can’t say really as I don’t know if it made a difference!

@Notamum12345577 I'm not sure it's the same course as my one will take roughly 18 months! They have recently also advertised a difference course in Project Management and wondering whether to take this course instead although it's a longer course, 18 - 24 months

If you've done a similar level course and got a distinction, then you are more than capable of this one. Have some faith in yourself!

Thank you @GenieGenealogy
