Please give me some advice 🙏

I'm 29 with 3 lovely children, 11 8 and 2. I'm desperate to actually do something with my life, I currently work in a hospital and have the opportunity to train for 2 years to become a band 4 nursing associate and being paid a band 3 while studying. I'm just not that interested in being a nurse, I know there is so many routes you can go down in nursing but all I see everyday is nurses running round a ridiculously busy medical ward most of the time under staffed. I was wondering if there is anyone who's ever been in my position and left healthcare and went and did something else and how there experience was? Thank you 😊

Honestly, if you don’t want to become a nurse, don’t become a nurse! You can trust your own judgement - even if no-one in the whole history of the world had ever left healthcare in similar circumstances.

Although of course probably thousands of people leave every week and embark on new paths.

In my own area people have left serious, high status City professions and retrained in the creative arts. Or opened cafes. Or started craft enterprises. Or yoga retreats!

What would you actually like to train / retrain in?

Would you be able to take time out to study or would you combine study with work? Online or face to face? Do you want a fast turnaround? What’s your highest academic / professional qualification and what would you need to do to get to where you want to be?
