Hi, I'm currently studying in my 2nd year with the OU doing a full time degree. I have fallen about 3 weeks behind and instead of utilising every minute I keep panicking about how behind I am and can't focus. And tips on ge my head back into it and catching up? TIA

So what’s the reason you’ve fallen behind? Did you simply not factor in taking time off over Christmas / New Year? I’d imagine most people slackened or stopped studying over the holidays. I’m sure it’s not irrecoverable!

@Myunicornis , I can't offer any help, I'm afraid, but I can empathise; I have also fallen behind and am struggling to open the study books. I spent two weeks in bed over Christmas with a bug, I suspect it might have been Covid, and I am still not fully recovered. I have an essay due next Friday and can't motivate myself to start it.

I'm on my second OU module and over Christmas also fell behind a bit. Honestly, I just had to make a start. I made sure the house was quiet, tidy and I'd had a good night sleep and worked for half an hour. That got me past the anxiety of how overwhelming it all felt. Then it was easier the next day to get started, I've now caught up! Also, I keep thinking about the end result which helps!
