Computer science access course anyone?

Hiya,

So I've recently started a computer science access course at 32, I'm on module 6 of 18, the first graded unit. I need at least 30 distinctions to be considered for my top uni choice, it's mostly the upcoming maths modules I'm worried about. Namely, calculus, trigonometry and algebra. I don't have much confidence in maths, but I know that if I really apply myself, it will pay off. Besides, there are some great resources out there to help, and the tutor is very responsive. Despite that, I can't help but feel dread - any one else with a similar experience? Any thoughts?

Cheers

Can you do a maths course and gain confidence from that. The Open University do some good courses you can work on remotely..

it was a long time ago that I did maths A-level and we had a rubbish teacher so I didn't learn much in class. a month before the exam, I realised that the only successful strategy was practice. lots of it. So I spent as much time as possible working through questions and then checking my answers, and the more I did, the more it made sense. Have you got access to lots of practice questions with answers in the back of the book? And have you tried that strategy?
