At the minute I’m a Veterinary Nurse I did my training at 17 and have only ever done this job .
I’m now nearly 32 and my marriage has broken down along with other life happenings , I need to be financially stable more that at the moment.

I have for years thought about becoming a CBT therapist and have much interest in this area.

I have no previous experience of working with people.

Has anyone re-trained in a particular area ?
How have you found it ?
Has it benefited your family and self more than your previous job ?

Thought I’d leave the details here for anyone else who’s interested:

nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/job-profiles/cognitive-behavioural-therapist

Can I ask why you think it would suit you? I guess you haven’t had time for any work experience ‘with people’, so how do you know your interest isn’t purely theoretical?

Thank you - is this something you are / have done .
You maybe right but I have had cbt therapy at age 14/15 years old after a horrible surgical incident, I’ve also just recently as a adult been through this process again.

I’ve done my own research and read In my own free time on becoming a therapist.

Many thanks for information
