Any advice on this potential move?

Well, in a covid free world I'd have started my nursing degree last month. Unfortunately, I had to withdraw my place last year due to the NHS covid vaccine mandate. As I wouldn't have been able to go on placement. Even if the government has recently said they'd scrap it, it's always 'under review', giving them the option to reinstate it if let's say another variant was to appear. In a nutshell, there's too much uncertainty around this.

Another topic I'm interested in is computer science, or cyber security. It's very technical, and would require me completing an access course in computing this year, to hopefully start next year.

Anyone has done a computing/cyber security undergraduate as a mature student?

I am also looking at retraining in this area. I have an undergraduate degree in a different area so my route will probably be a 2 year part time conversion course. I'm choosing to study at a local university for the structure/support but honestly there is a wealth of information online for you to self-teach in Computing. Or at least for you to start to understand/practise some of the technical aspects.

So you’re wanting information on access to computing and cyber security degrees?

I wonder if MNHQ might edit your thread title, if you asked, so that people with experience of this area would know the thread was relevant to them.
