I want to apply for a course (tech related) but I can't decide which option to go for. What are the advantages/disadvantages of both?

Just few things: I live about 20 minutes drive to the campus although parking will be a problem once I get there. It's a part time course: 2 3hr evening sessions (I wouldn't be getting home till 10 pm) and 3 hours on Saturday. At home I have a room I can work from but a very demanding ASC teen.

I just can't decide. What would you do?

What is your goal once you’ve finished the course?

And - bearing that in mind - which course format would more closely resemble the working environment you anticipate once you’re qualified?

Say for instance any relevant job would involve a significant element of face to face group work - it might be more helpful to take a course that included that. On the other hand, if it’s likely that your working life will be mostly virtual, working from home, an online course would prepare you for that.

Thanks for that. My work will definitely be group based project work (as is the course). Most of the jobs I've looked at seem to be either remote or a mixture of office based and remote.

I love being on campus. It's evenings too. I really enjoy being with my classmates and sharing ideas and the collaborative work we do. There's talk of going online due to covid and I'll really be sad if so.

online, in my masters, is generally a wall of CAMERA OFF and NO SPEAKING.

I prefer in person

BUT its also a time suck of travel, and tryung to get a workable timetable if some items online (like lectures) and some in person.

Having caught covid, i am now at home again for everything until end of term.
