MA Part-time Realistic Hours Per Week?

Read that 20 hours is advised for teaching and independent learning. Hear people who do it whilst working full-time.

How realistic to combine part-time study with full-time work?

Job not demanding. No domestic responsibility. So lots of time and head space. Study doesn’t come easy so must be super realistic.

Realistically know 20 hours per week not doable. But worth asking for confirmation.

I managed it part time with 25 hours or so of work per week.
I think I need down time as well as study time if I'm working.
Most of my cohort got huge extensions though especially on their dissertations. So it's possible, as long as your job is flexible enough you can attend the seminars.

@SuperLoudPoppingAction thanks for feedback. Sounds like you did allocate 20 hours per week with 25 hours of paid work and downtime factored in.

Would be distance learning so no physical attendance.

Good point about need for downtime. That does need to be factored in.
