Do student wages count as household income?

My Student Maintenance loan has been granted on the basis of me not working, just DHs income.

What happens if I take a part-time job? Would that be taken into account for household income when I next apply?

I have been turned down for Childcare Grant and Parent Grant, so need to boost my income, but I'm worried that it's short sighted if I earn now only to get less next year!

So when SLC judge household income does it include both of our wages or just DH? .

I understand it includes investments etc Just don't know if earned income was included too.

Here! Scroll down.

‘Household income doesn’t include any income the student might earn themselves.’

Praying that answers your question!

Thanks! That's brilliant! We pool our money so in my mind "Household" income includes what I earn...now to stop procrastinating and look for a few hours.....
