I’ve been doing low carb for a while and have lost a good amount and kept it off, but it’s getting expensive to eat this way. If I slip back into eating say bread etc the weight goes back on.

would love to hear your tips for keeping the cost down with low carb eating.

Take a look at Ketogenic woman on YOuTube, she has a lot of recipes and ideas.

I broadened what I classified as low-carb to include beans, lentils and chickpeas. So I just cut out starchy carbs like bread, pasta, rice, cereals, noodles, potatoes, biscuits etc… Pulses are a cheaper form of protein and a great way to bulk out meals. They’re full of fibre so will help satiety. I also included some root veg like carrots, butternut and beetroot which are supper cheap and gave me more options.
I eat a lot of eggs and tinned tuna. Less than £3 for 12 large eggs at Aldi. I’d use 3 eggs per omelette, so that’s 4 meals, so less than 75p (+ whatever veg) per meal. It’s even less for a tin of tuna.
