I’ve lost a couple of kgs and was chatting to a woman from work who must have noticed. She said something that absolutely makes sense to me. She said “Forget will power….. It’s all about “Won’t Power!” - ie “I won’t undo all the work I’ve done”, “I won’t just have one little snack”, etc.. What a genius!

Hi, I’m doing my first day today. I had a baby 4 months ago and wasn’t particularly skinny before. I feel disgusting, i didn’t put on much weight at all in pregnancy as i had terrible sickness and then ended up with GD at 35 weeks so controlled that with diet so that helped massively. However since having a baby i seem to be hungry all the time 😩 what foods have you been eating? to help with weight loss and keto. Congratulations on your loss so far! love the quote from the woman you know!

Hi there - For Breakfast I have an egg or two with bacon. If I am bored with that I splodge some green tabasco on it for some flavour. I have been cooking up lots of diced bacon in the morning and making myself what I call a BLAT - (Bacon, Avocado & Tomato - with Kewpie Mayo rolled in an iceberg lettuce leaf for lunch. The left over bacon I keep in the fridge to have as an afternoon snack or add to dinner. Last night was crispy chicken thigh cooked on the stove with a greek salad. (My husband added jacket potatoes, sour cream and my leftover bacon). I have limited my protein my palm size, 3x day. I am drinking extra water and have purchased some atkins bars which are lower carb than most protein bars to have for a snack with coffee after work. I also make a mean Japanese style egg salad which is great for snacking on if hangry in the afternoon.
Happy to share other ideas too.

I tend to think about what I like to eat (a lot of Asian-style food, mostly) and try and make a low carb version. Ie Today I am hanging out for dumplings so I am going to make some little meatballs with ground chicken or beef, some finely shredded spring onions, some five spice and some ginger and I’m going to have some clear chicken boullion. I will boil it, then bring it back to a slow roll and chuck the meatballs in for a minute or two. (I might also add some ginger and soy sauce to the soup)
I always have heaps of ginger in my freezer because I’m quite addicted to it. Also garlic, chili, shiitake mushrooms - things you can use for flavour.

@Fraaahnces Thankyou so much! at 35 weeks pregnant i ended up with GD so lost some weight just having meat and veg/ salad stuff but it was for a different reason i was eating that. That did tend to work though so could try that again but he cautious of the carbs in some vegetables.
