Urinary symptoms with LCD

I know this might seem odd- but has anyone else had urinary issues when doing low carb? I have three times had various urinary issues during low carb- noted by either symptoms or via the urine strip I was using to check ketones… I’ve had blood in the urine (no symptoms) and then more recently twice had uti symptoms- urge to wee increased, onlyntint dribbles coming out, irritated urethra etc.

I have seen there are links with rapid weightloss and gallstone formation… but since stopping low carb I am finding it harder and harder to stop eating the crappy carb based stuff that I know piles on the weight.

when low carbing I tend to end up having a fatty breakfast as like a treat- including mushrooms and tomatoes but usually also black pudding (1) sausages eggs and bacon. Then have a salad later on and coffee throughout. Which isn’t really the healthiest of diet plans I know… so am wondering if a healthier low carb might make the difference but am worried that any process of low carb dieting might trigger the UTI thing again as it was horrible and I’m worried as I’m of an age that interstitial cystitis can start occurring- mid 40s, peri menopause etc.

Any advice or experience would be appreciated

I definitely wee more when I'm low carbing, I end up walking up twice in the night to go which is annoying. I don't have any of the other symptoms you mention. I'm perimenopausal and low carbing does wonders for my symptoms. Im less bloated, I have fewer mood swings and I just feel 'better'. Which means that I'm prepared to put up with the extra weeing Grin
