I have low carbed in the past, and found it to be a successful way of losing weight, but then slipped back to my old habits and have been piling weight on lately (I’m sure being in peri isn’t helping either).
I’ve just got back from my holiday and for the first time ever I didn’t feel comfortable in my swimwear. I also had a randomly selected blood pressure test last week and my blood pressure is sky high. I have to go back to the pharmacy on Tuesday and wear a monitor for 24 hours. I’ve read that the Mediterranean diet can help with blood pressure, so between that and my expanding waistline, now is the time to get back on the low carb horse.
Also going to start exercising again, starting with C25K. My life was naturally a lot more physical until about May, so didn’t really feel the need to do much exercise, but a summer of being less active is taking its toll.
Anyone care to join a new support thread? My personal goal is to lose at least a stone between now and Christmas.

Anyone else about to start low carbing?

That’s great, half a stone in a week, water weight or not! I’ve had a very lazy Sunday so far as I went away for the night with my bf last night, I managed to resist Burger King, Greggs and Subway which were the options next to where we were staying, and came home and had a big bowl of berries and Greek yogurt with chia seeds. I’m vegetarian which makes low carbing a bit trickier, especially as I kind of have to be in the mood for eggs and often I’m not. Had a paneer masala with cauliflower rice last night which was really nice.
I’m planning on starting C25K this afternoon. The hydration tablets are a good idea, energy levels are one thing I’ve struggled with when I’ve low carbed in the past.

That’s amazing @lostparcel! Well done, hopefully I will have similar results. Paneer is lovely, it’s not as squeaky as halloumi, it doesn’t have a particularly strong taste but you fry it with spices before adding it to the curry.
I’m battling with my Fitbit which I haven’t used for well over a year and now doesn’t want to charge :(
