Iv been doing keto a month now and am wondering would I be totally foolish to eat maybe a hotcross bun and half and Easter egg with DP when DS goes to bed. I'm not sure it's worth it. But I do love chocolate 😭

You sound like you're doing amazing! Don't do it, you'll only regret it immediately after and my might trigger the cravings again!

You might feel terrible!

It’ll take you a week to get back into Ketosis. Depends whether it’s worth it or not to you.

I’m having a keto chocolate mug cake instead.

1tbsp melted butter
3tbsp almond flour
1tbsp good cocoa
1-2tbsp sweetener
1/2tsp baking powder
1 egg

Mix together. Add 1-2tbsp chipped dark chocolate (I use 90-100% chocolate) and tip into a large mug or small glass bowl. Microwave for 1-1.25 mins.

I can’t eat more than half of it.

Okay I'm not going to do it. Your are all right. Iv lost 10 pounds so far. No point setting myself back. 😭😭

It works for me. I have a history of eating disorders and binge eating. Keto is the only thing that got my destructive eating under control.

Congratulations on deciding to not eat the things that will knock you off plan

Any time I'm tempted, I like to think about how I'll feel after I've eaten it. Usually I won't feel any better and will want more and more sugar.

Low carb, high fat really works well for me.

I am a few days in to very low carb and feeling great on it. Faced the same temptation and didn’t crack either. Had my planned dessert of sugar free jelly , cream and 2 squares 70% dark choc. Happy with that. Skipped the mash, yorkies and stuffing. Happy I held out. Well done OP.

Don't do it.

I've low carbed for a month now and decide to treat myself to an ice cream Sunday on Friday night.

The after effects of all the sugar the following morning were totally not worth it!!! 💩 😅

Forgot about sugar free jelly . Might try that with the cream when I feel tempted.

I didn't do it. Was so hard with the kids stuffing their faces with chocolate eggs all day but I feel proud of myself that I held out. Thanks for the support 💖

Good on you!!!

I've never been a chocolate/sweet thing binge eater anyway really but I've found that planning a small amount of say dark chocolate into my planned food for the day helps with the mentality of "just fancying" something!

I also find adding a scoop of flavoured protein powder into full fat Greek yoghurt helps if I do fancy something sweet but has the added bonus of upping my fat and protein for the day 😃
