This morning I put about 3 grams in to some water and let it thicken and I mixed it with a protein yogurt. So filling. I just made a cup of soup and added 2 grams (don't add more, trust me) and again, it was thick and felt like more than a cup of soup.

I'm trying to do two days a week on 800 so this really helps. I'm going to have a real dinner. quorn fillets and mixed salads from salad bar at supermarket, but leftovers, so 200grams max.

you don't want to over do it I know but it helps, if hunger is what you battle with, it helps.

Sounds vile! Be careful you don't make yourself sick with all that

I have added it to almond flour muffins and such like for extra fibre. It was recommended in some recipes I made when trying low carb eating.

Yeh you can have too much, I have not had more than 8grams today, but it's not like it sends me racing to the bathroom Grin that could be a concern if you added too much.

My dad used it as a laxative. We always had a tub of the stuff at home when I was growing up and it was only ever used for medicinal purposes.

For extra fibre, my mom always used wheat germ and/or flaxseed but apparently seeds shouldn’t be consumed too much.

Bit like chia seeds- absorbs loads of water and becomes gel like so it both fills you up and bulks and softens your stools!

You can buy it in a health food shop. I think there's a max amount per day, something like 15 grams. I haven't gone near that maximum yet.

I had about 3 or 4 grams to water, stir it, it becomes quite gel like. You can had that to yogurt or soup to make it either thicker and make it fill you up. But you have to experiment a bit! If you add too much water and then mix it with a protein yogurt for example, it's tasteless. But if you add too little water the gel goes in to a solid gloop that won't mix in with anything else.

If you add it to egg and put it in the micro wave, you can if you're lucky end up with something that resembles bread. Well, you could put hummous on it to make it taste like ''bread''. Drink lots of water though, if you do, you'll be full for hours. HOURS!
