Feel rubbish

I started low carbing today and feel awful. So tired and fed up. I don't enjoy eating lots of meat and had tuna and nuts with lots of veg and some blueberries and yoghurt.
If I keep going, how long till I feel better and energetic again?

By day 5 you will feel better.

Greek yoghurt - full fat
Cottage cheese - longley farm full fat is fabulous
Cheese strings
Green veg - broccoli, green beans, sugarsnap peas
Mushrooms
Baby corn
Eggs (boiled egg with asparagus spears for dipping, spicy scrambled egg with chilli, peppers, spring onions and paprika)

Day 5?? 😩
How am I going to last?
Thanks for the list though I don't like eggs. I'm so glad mushrooms are on there.

If you go to this link - www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb#advice

and scroll to section 2 there's loads of low carb foods suggested to help give a bit of variety. Alternatively lookup Low Carb Bootcamp section on Mumsnet and there's loads of recipes and advice in there.

I low carb and love it. I agree that you will feel better after a few days.
However, if you don't enjoy the food then maybe the lifestyle isn't for you.

ConfusedByDesign · 09/05/2022 22:09

Thanks for the links. I'll have a look.
It's not that I don't enjoy the food - I loved my tuna salad today. I just don't like meat daily and don't eat eggs. I'm determined to carry on for the health benefits and to look better. I think I'm the heaviest I've ever been, looking a bit old and haggard, feeling lethargic and some stiff joints. I'm such a carb junkie that I knew I'd feel a bit rough but didn't realise I'd feel so moody and exhausted. I can barely move.

Today I had

Blueberries and yoghurt

Salad with prawns and thousand island dressing - tomorrow I'll have chicken and balsamic and feta with the salad

Tomato and feta as a snack

Spaghetti bolognaise - no pasta, just salad and cheese

It's maybe not the strictest low carb but there was no bread or pasta etc
