My working life consists of supports diabetic and people at risk of diabetes. I give them low carb advice. So in April last year I decided to give this lifestyle ago, practice what you preach and all that! By the August I had lost 2 stone.

I was a carb addict. And at the start I never dreamt I'd be able to commit long term. But 16 months low carb is a way of life for me.

I want to help other people who struggle with weight. I have all my adult life. It's the first time I don't obsess over food anymore, I don't go hungry or have to count anything. It's freeing!

If anyone wants a bit of morale support, or pointing in the right direction to start you off on a journey ask away and I'll do my best. Lou Smile

Hi, I've had success with this style of diet in the past with Michael Moseley's 'blood sugar diet'. I'm not diabetic, but my sister & Dad are both type 2. I just can't seem to get my 'head in the game' yet I know it does work! I think dieting is definitely more difficult with age ... Im 44

You look amazing, well done!

Could you share a typical day’s meals? Or your favourite meals? I’m not a very keen cook and have no imagination!

You look great. I have tried this diet before but seem to struggle if eating out.

Thank you! I'm trying various diets and what I struggle with is the lack of energy, what strategies for you have to deal with that?
If I know in doing some thing later in the day I'll make sure I eat a bit more to be able to see me through, im scared that dieting will leave me wiped out and knackered.
