Permitted? I like Fevertree tonic.

The gin is fine - fever free light tonic has carbs in though. The cheaper diet tonics are much lower in carbs - sadly doesn’t taste as nice!

Artificially sweetened tonic is rank.

Maybe herbal tea and soda instead of tonic, then. Perhaps I'll add botanicals as well. Are slices of fruit OK as long as I don't juice them or eat them?

The fruit will be fine if you don’t eat it. I’ve been drinking a very low carb sparkling kefir which I guess you could use as a mixer - I haven’t tried . Some kombucha are really low carb but it varies brand to brand and the flavour.

I've never come across sparkling kefir! I know it only as a vaguely yogurty drink.

An important update: Lakes gin with Teapigs Licorice and Peppermint tea is exceedingly good. Smile

I use fizzy water in gin - can really taste the gin!
