Is the weight coming off every single week?

I started doing low carb, no sugar (but not keto). My friend did it and weight fell off her..she lost 2.5 stone in 5mths.
I've been doing 3mths now and have lost 7lbs. Im pleased but scales haven't budged for 2 weeks now. This is when I normally give up because its so much effort not getting any results!
Are you all losing a tiny bit of weight every week?

I started similar last summer and it was slow i lost 1lb a week and had to really watch what I ate and I ran 5k 3 times a week. I lost 33lbs in total so it can be done but keeping a positive mind was the hardest part. I literally took it one day at a time and didn’t think ahead.

Also with this kind of diet, it stalls for a few weeks and then starts again so you have to stick at it!

Might be worth going over to the low carb boot camp, have a read of week one rules and try them for a couple of weeks. My weight loss is very slow, my DP has weight dropping off him (bastard), but I’m happy to be slow, at least it isn’t going up, and it means I know how to maintain in future.

If you're not losing weight for an extended period then you must not be in a calorie deficit. Eat less, exercise more.

I'm planning on doing this (I started yesterday, on a whim, haven't nailed down my 'rules' exactly). I am hoping for more dramatic weight loss than 7 lb in 3 months.
Are you actually overweight? As if you aren't you won't lose as much!

Yes I got 4 stone to lose! I think its stuck to me like concrete!
Im going to try getting some water down me even tho i feel this is a dieting urban myth that water helps!

I think the water stops you getting carb flu, so it is a bit helpful!

This - no use cutting out some foods if overall you're consuming more calories than you are expending. Most weight loss is achieved through diet rather than exercise although exercise is beneficial for health.

Drinking enough water fills you up and can stop you feeling hungry. Drinking a large glass of water half an hour before you have a meal can stop you eating more than you need.

I'm a diet coach and I've never seen anyone have a weight loss every single week. Our bodies just don't work that way. However you can be losing fat every single week so long as you continue to eat well. But the natural fluctuations in your weight caused by things such as water retention, temporarily mask the weight loss. In the Minnesota Starvation Experiment it was actually noticed that the participants weed a lot more on the day before their weight dropped which shows just how much effect water retention has on your weight. Obviously you can't lose 2lb fat overnight but you can lose 2lb of water in a day.
