I have a shit load of weight to lose. I’ve never been so fat so as of the 1st Jan I’m going low carb.

Can anyone talk me through my first week as I don’t know what I’m doing to be honest!

Day 1 - breakfast - full fat Greek yogurt
Lunch - omelette (two eggs, mushrooms, peppers and cheese served with spinach and Mayo
Dinner - beef medallion, cauliflower cheese and broccoli

Day 2 - breakfast - two boiled eggs
Lunch - salmon fillet with Philadelphia cheese, lettuce, tomato and cucumber
Dinner - homemade chicken masala with cauliflower rice

Day 3 - breakfast - Greek yogurt
Lunch - left over masala
Dinner - shepherds pie made with cauliflower rice and broccoli

Day 4 - breakfast - egg mayonnaise
Lunch - salmon with Philadelphia cheese and salad
Dinner - heck pork sausages, cauliflower mash, broccoli

Day 5 - breakfast - Greek yogurt
Lunch - left over shepherds pie
Dinner - chilli con carne (without kidney beans) with cauliflower rice, cheese and sour cream

Day 6 - breakfast - 2 boiled eggs
Lunch - left over chilli
Dinner - tandoori lamb chops (sides?)

Day 7 - breakfast - Greek yogurt
Lunch - 2 egg cheese omelette
Dinner - mousakka (made with aubergine instead of pasta)

How does this sound for week 1? I’m also going to aim for 15000 steps a day (I currently do around 4000 Blush

I’d be starving with just a yogurt for breakfast
You could add oats and fruit much more filling
Need to drink too
WW and SW have recipes online

Don't do what @IEat is suggesting if you want to stay low carb!

Those meals sound perfect to me - just remember to keep the fat high and drink plenty of water.

And the next low carb Bootcamp starts w/c 11 January - the sign-up thread is here

In the meantime though, come and chat with us on the ongoing Bootcamp thread! (The one called Happy Christmas Bootcampers)

Watch the cauliflower rice/mash - it can have explosive results!

If you like blueberries, you could add a small handful of them in your morning yogurt. Smash them with fork first and then fold them in the yogurt. Also you could add 5 grams each of chopped almonds, chia seeds and linseed. These would make the plain greek yogurt more nutritious and filling.

I'm on week 11 on low carb WOE and it's work incredibly well. I am hungry by lunch time but it's different kind of hunger, I can manage it and it doesn't make me feel shaky like I used to be after having toast and cereal for breakfast.

A word about greek yogurts, they are not all created equal. So far I've been eating Yeo Valley full fat one and it's lovely but I've now compared all the full fat greek style and natural yogurts that are available on Ocado (as that's what I mainly use for our food shopping) and M&S full fat natural Skyr yogurt came as the best option. It is a lot lower in fat and carbohydrates but has 12.5% protein. I struggle to have the required amount of protein so will switch to this one now.
