Keto - no weight loss

I’ve been on a keto diet for 5 weeks now. I lost 10 lbs in the first 3 weeks (including a 5 day egg fast) but then stalled 2 weeks ago. I stick to my keto macros, I’m in calorie deficit (typically 25% - 35%), I do intermittent fasting (16:8) and for the last 2.5 weeks have been doing 30-40 mins of daily exercise (a mix of HIIT and strength training). I drink lots of water. This is the first time I’m approaching weight loss in such a disciplined way and it’s demotivating that it’s not working. I’m 196 lbs so have a lot of weight to loose. If anyone has any ideas why I’m stalling or how to come out of the stall, I’d really appreciate it.

It might be because you have added the exercise. When you begin a new exercise program it can cause some water retention. Plus you can sometimes get a stall on keto then a good loss especially when you are starting out. Keep going and see if you lose some when you get more used to the exercise. Another thing that can stall you is artificial sweeteners so keep an eye on those if you are having them.

Sometimes with keto you get what is called a “whoosh”. No weight loss for ages and then one day you go on the scales and you’ve lost half a stone or something mad.

Weighed myself this morning and I've actually gained another pound. :( It's been slowly creeping back up over the last 2 weeks. Have had success on low carb diet before but am starting to feel that Keto is maybe not for me for some reason ...

I’ve read that, in some people, dairy (in particular cheese) and nuts can stall weight loss on keto. Could that be a factor?

If the OP has to not eat dairy or nuts, what would she eat instead to keep up fat and protein and stop the boredom of meat/fish and eggs?
