8 kg in 8 weeks? Help me boost my weight loss

I've been on the keto diet since early Feb and am feeling great both mentally and physically. Since I started I have lost 10 kg, with most of it coming off at the start and since then the weight loss has slowed down to a steady 1/3 - 1/2 kg per week.

I'm 8 kg from my goal weight and have just realised that it is just over 8 weeks until my birthday and I would love to have reached my goal weight by then!

Are there any "hacks" I can use to boost the rate of weight loss?

I'm currently doing a 5 day egg fast which finishes tomorrow but am so sick of eggs now that I don't think I'll want to do it again.

I do three to four 4k runs per week.

Any ideas?

How about fast800? Maybe do first two weeks (or longer if it feels easy) 800 cals a day and then 5:2? And follow keto as well. I’m doing that and I’m not finding it hard. I also do quite a bit of exercise.

Also maybe include or swap some of the runs for hiit training sessions?

Are you doing fast800? Is it making you lose weight faster?

I’m a bit worried about restricting calories that drastically as I’ve read in many places it has the opposite effect. But I’m thinking of doing 5:2 or 16:8.

Yes I’m doing it now. I’ve done it before for about three weeks and after that started doing 16:8 and didn’t count calories. I’ve started it again now and I’m on day 7. First time round I lost like 4 kilos in the first week and 2.5kg the second week. I weighed about 80 kilos. Haven’t weighed myself yet this second time round. Why don’t you check the fast800 thread on the fasting/5:2. Thenewaveragebear1983 is an expert. She’ll be able to answer to your questions better than I can. I haven’t found it affecting me negatively, like showering my metabolism. I think that’s a myth anyway

Showering= slowering

There's a lot of good science to support the Fast 800 approach - particularly for fast weight loss, so I'd also suggest you have a look at that.
