Low carb diet when breast feeding

Dd is 6 weeks old, and I'm keen to start low carbing.

Does anyone know if it's ok to do when breast feeding, or is anyone else thinking of doing similar and want to keep each other company? Smile

@stuntnun breastfed her kids while following the HFLC Boot Camp (did it while she was pregnant too).

Iirc, the advice is to follow Boot Camp
Lite (ie allow nuts, some fruit, be more relaxed about the carbier veg) rather than strict Boot Camp.

Yes I started the Low Carb Bootcamp when DS3 was 7 months then continued it right through my pregnancy with DS4 and breastfeeding him for 18 months. As PrettyBird says, you can keep your carb intake slightly higher than strict Bootcamp if you like. I tended to follow Bootcamp but didn't worry about hidden carbs in sausages, gravy etc. If your little one is feeding through the night then I suggest keeping a snack on your bedside table for the first few nights as you might need an energy boost to get you through the low carb adaption.
