Low carb induced period?

I have done LCHF in the past but have gained weight recently (possibly after the joy of unrestricted diet after gallbladder removal!). Began again in earnest last week no problems. On Saturday and Sunday I felt dreadful and put this down to low carb 'flu', though have never experienced it before. Felt very low, headachey and hungover like. I have been on cerazette for a couple of years and periods had stopped completely for some time, until Monday when I start out of the blue. Is this a thing? Has low carb done something to my hormones??? Will it stop??? Anyone else experienced this?

Yes it's a thing. I posted on here a while back with similar.

I bled for almost two months non stop. Out of desperation I stopped my pill (Cerelle - same as Cerazette) for a week to see if I could 'reset' my hormones.

Stopped bleeding within two days of stopping the pill. Started taking it after a week off and started bleeding again around a week after starting it. However - it was a normal period, heavy for two days then tapered off with a total bleed of seven days.

Day two of no bleeding and I'm praying I've managed to sort it and get back to some sort of normal!

Thank you! It's stopped now but kind of took me by surprise after so long without a period. Fingers crossed it doesn't come back. I'd forgotten what a hassle periods are!
