Why am I not loosing weight?

I’ve been following the low carb diet now for 2 weeks, and I’ve just weighed myself and I’ve put on 0.2 of a kg!

I’ve been adding everything I eat into my fitness pal- I stick to 1300 kcals and I don’t go over 20g of carbs. I’ve even bought some Keto sticks and they say I’m in ketosis, so why haven’t I lost anything?! I’m also drinking 3 litres of water a day. Is a low carb diet just not suitable for some people?

Are you on the low carb bootcamp thread? Lots of long-term low carbers there who will give advice if you list out the food you've been eating.
Low carb works for me. Lost 11lb in 8 weeks and have kept it off for months now effortlessly by eating low carb. Never feel deprived. Losing the last few lbs now.

Are you eating enough fat? 1300 calories doesn't sound like a lot! You actually need to eat fat for this diet to work. Could you post what you have been eating?

I've been doing t 10 days and lost 4lb and dh lost 6lb.

Feel like I'm eating too much fat but clearly not.
Maybe you need to add butter or almond butter.
Cook in olive oil. I bought a garlic infused one in Aldi and it's lovely.
My lunches are a frittata type thing I chuck bacon mushrooms and different cheeses plus egg and double cream In and cook for 20 mins then just chop it up into slabs.
Il have two slabs of that plus some chunks of cheese some pork scratchings and a frankfurter during the day.
Have either almond milk in my coffee or have it black and then tea is meat a big pile of veg a stuffed mushroom with cream cheese etc.
Sounds a lot written down but I'm losing.

Your food sounds lovely ice! Much nicer than what I’ve been sticking to!

I’m 12 stone and 5’6” so there is fat there to burn!

I also joined the Bootcamp thread and had some good advice from there too. I’m going to try adding in more fat (but not too much dairy) to see if that does the trick. Thank you!
