I'm desperate to start low carbing (never have done it before). But I developed a nasty lurgy on Boxing Day and am not fully over it - sore throat when I swallow but feeling much better in general. Is it okay to do low carb when not fully well?

I'm looking into starting a low carb "Banting diet". From what I've researched so far, it's called low carb flu. You can get side effects as a way of your body dealing with not getting carbs and sugar that it used to. It's like a withdrawal symptom.

Hi PandaEyes, no I haven't yet started low carving! I just have a regular virus. But I'm not sure if low carbing is advised or not if you're not fully well?

Oh sorry, must read better lol Blushmaybe wait until after you're better as I think it takes a little bit of time for your body to get used to not getting what it usually does.

Thanks PandaEyes. That's kind of what I thought. I'm just so desperate to get started. I am now SOOO fat and have had this sudden focus and sense of purpose about doing something about it, so it's frustrating to wait!

You're welcome and I'm in no way a professional. I'm just about to start my no carb diet too so just a personal (if it was me) scenario. Hope you feel better soon and good luck with your weight loss!
