Firstly, spend a couple of days reading WHY low carb is a good idea Smile

I suggest Marksdailyapple (primal) Robbwolf.com (Paleo) and dietdoctor.com (LCHF) are good starting points. All 3 are, broadly speaking, the same diet (ditching processed carbs and focusing on non starchy veg, fat and protein), are far lower carb than SAD diet (standard American/western diet), and for weight loss, the carbs can be cut back further to very low levels.

eloise If you look at the current boot camp thread there is a link to a spreadsheet in the opening post. There are tabs on the bottom of the sheet that will tell you all you need to know and provide links to some useful reading.

HI

i have lost three stone this year on the Ducan diet. It is high protein and low fat and no carbs. I did drink alcohol though!!

i am 50 next month so it was good to have a goal. This diet might be a bit challenging for vegetarians and non veg days were hard. It worked for me and I believe I can sustain it. Hope this helps
