Right so first week of the holidays and I am going to get on it! No more staff room temptations and I am going to get my diet sorted.

So what shall I fill my shopping list with? What staples do you buy week in and week out?

cream. cheese - several types. deli meats, olive oil, cauliflower, spinach, chicken thighs, 23% fat beef mince, bacon, salad stuff, nuts, yoghurt and broccoli.

plus usually burgers, chicken wings, spices and lidl high protein rolls.

from the butcher I buy chicken bones to make stock.

I am interested to see everyone elses must haves are!

Meat: chicken thighs, salmon, beef or lamb mince, pork belly, steaks or chops, bacon, good sausages and a chorizo ring
Produce: spinach (lots!) courgette (lots and lots!), aubergine, assorted lettuce, peppers (mainly green), shallots, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, cucumber, small amounts of tomatoes and berries, fresh herbs, chillis, ginger, garlic, lemongrass
Dairy: double cream, full fat yoghurt, assorted cheeses, butter
Groceries: eggs, chopped tinned tomatoes, Beanie coffees, sparkling water, fruit tea bags, olive oil, hot pepper sauce, tin coconut milk

I obviously don't buy all this every week, but it's the basis now of my low carb kitchen, and I do enjoy cooking anyway.

Don't forget the 80% chocolate! (2 squares is fine for me) not every day though...

Just restarted a low carver:

Many cheeses: 2 sorts of goat, strong cheddar, époisses, Camembert, Wensleydale, Saint Agur.
Cold cuts: prosciutto, cooked ham, pepperoni
Smoked fish: mackerel, salmon, haddock
Meat: fillet steak, chicken with skin on, duck, pigeon breast
Veggies: lettuce cucumber tomatoes aubergine courgette radishes carrots leeks
Onions spinach and LOADS of red peppers. Also pickled veg and olives

Fruit - yes, still eating some - strawberries, pears and bananas. This is for breakfast with yogurt on work days

Dairy: LOADS of eggs, butter, full fat yogurt, cream and crème fraîche

ATM not eating peas, beans and lentils, nor nuts cos I eat out of control on them
