Planning a 3 day egg fast from Tuesday...anyone in?

I've been LC for four years but the carbs, the wine and the weight have snuck up this summer. I need to kick start weight loss again and DH is away for three days so I'm going to try an egg fast to get back into ketosis and reset things.
I KNOW it's mad and I'm not advocating it for anyone else but thought starting a thread may make me more accountable and some other fools may join in!
I'm following Stuntnun's thread from 2014 and this blog from I breathe I'm hungry. The basic rules are :
At least 6 eggs a day, more if you want.,1 tbsp of butter/mayo/coconut oil per egg and an optional 1oz of cheese and buckets of water.
I may also add in a little lettuce and celery if I'm really struggling.
Dairy is my downfall, so I'm going to try out bullet proof coffee for the first time. I'm 10lbs over my lowest weight and 7lbs from where I feel good, so hoping for a few pounds off to get on track.
I've bought eggs, butter, mayo and cheese. I feel like I could live on omelettes and egg mayonnaise but I may feel differently come Friday.

Just a half pound down today, so not great loss this time around, 1.5 lb since starting. I think it's simply down to the fact that I'd been pretty good before the fast, so no huge bloat to lose.

I'm going to do two eggy meals a day for the next two days- but away from home so tricky to weigh accurately.
Egg cloud toast this morning and fried eggs for lunch.

Have a good day!

Hello! I've just found your thread. Never heard of an egg fast but it sounds very enjoyable. I love eggs. I will be trying this!

Now I did have bloat to lose - I'd been away last weekend and it was totally indulgent. Hence the good weight loss this week. Second weigh in and another two pounds off. Delighted! Although almost sick of the sight of eggs !
Persevering today with a bpc this morning, 3 egg scramble and extra cheese for lunch. I'm going out this evening but I won't be eating or drinking. I'll try and push a couple of fried eggs down before I go but I really do not feel hungry. Not at all Grin

It's been a great way to kickstart my lchf woe again and I highly recommend it Paris , especially if you're already used to eating that way.

You've done brilliantly cathyandclare and thanks for the inspiration! Any plans to do it again before Christmas?

Well another .4 lb off, so that's a total of 4.8 lbs in 3 days. I'll take that!

Half doing it today. Cloud bread for breakfast, boiled eggs with mayo and salad leaves for lunch.
Chicken and salad for dinner this evening.

I'm going to have to pace myself at the party tomorrow night ...... I'll be a total lightweight!

Well done ladies! How is your digestion on an egg fast - would have predicted severe constipation? Or do you allow yourself some fibre (e.g. Oat bran) each day?

Well 2lb up after 2-3 days of sheer indulgence, not as bad as I'd feared or deserved Grin I think these few days will just be clearing that bloat and hopefully resetting my appetite.

Hi everything, I've been Ok bowel-wise but never done more than 3 days and usually have a few forbidden green things. I think I saw BIWI on the bootcamp threads say that the fat and all the fluid helps.I definitely don't think anything this extreme is a good idea long term though!!!

fried eggs and black coffee for breakfast
egg mayo and celery for lunch
cheese souffle for supper

After going up by 2lbs on Sunday morning after a Fri night and Saturday off it, I got back on it although with some vegetables. So, this morning after two days back, I'm down a total of 5lbs since the start. Pretty pleased with that.
It's helped to reset my appetite for sure. However, I work well on two meals a day. I'm not a breakfast person. I like a big brunch and then dinner early eve. A BPC in the morning keeps me satiated for ages - I'd much rather that than a proper breakfast.
I was surprised to not be constipated.....I think it's the combination of fluid intake up and extra fat that keeps things...ahem....moving Smile

Aaaaagh! A pound on and it all appears to have accumulated under my eyes. I can barely see this morning, good thing I'm working from home all day. I think TOTM is approaching so hoping for fabulous woosh tomorrow.

In better news I didn't have Philly so made cloud bread with marscapone and it was delicious, thoroughly recommended. it also has a higher fat content so no need for so much added fat, which I struggle with.

KOKO today, hoping the Austrian blinds under my eyes will have gone by tomorrow

Well after a very carb heavy weekend in Italy it is time for some drastic action! I'm going to try for a 4 day egg fast if I can and hopefully then will be able to get into the zone and stick with lchf for the next 6 weeks. Anyone else fancy a try?

Today so for I have had

3 scrambled eggs cooked in tbs butter with a little bit of chilli and 1oz cheese

Lunch is bulletproof green tea with butter and coconut oil.

Already have the faint nausea thing going on so hopefully something is working.

Wish me luck!
