Low carb shakes

Does anyone use a low carb protein shake as a meal replacement?

I really struggle with breakfast. I just can't really stomach it or only eat deli meat and cheese which I'm trying to cut down on.

I wondered whether a shake would be a good alternative?

Interested in this too as haven't found a breakfast that works for me so just skip it at moment.

I quite like celebrity slim x

I was using slender blend which was apparently low carb but now independent tests have shown it up to be rubbish so watching with interest.

I use slim and save meal replacement shakes, the one I use is chocolate flavour and 12.5 g of carbs and 125 calories. I haven't found one that's lower so would be interested if anyone has found a lower one

I use the total protein shake from my protein which is 4.4g carb per 100g. I do often put a few frozen berries in it to change the taste. www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/total-protein/10529951.html

mrspnut how many servings would you get from a bag?

MrsPnut · 18/06/2016 06:29

Oh loads, working out each serving is 60g of powder then it's 41 servings from a 2.5kg bag.

Thank you, I hadn't heard of that brand before, might have to buy some!

I have this on the go at the mo:

www.amazon.co.uk/Protein-Powder-Shakes-Weight-Support/dp/B00YUZSSG4/ref=pd_bia_yo_t_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1FHKD882HRNEAHSTDG5T

It's quite sweet but it is ok.

I believe its the best type of diet to follow for the most rapid results.

The good think about a meal replacement diet is that your also on very minimal calories so not a lot of exercise is required. Which is perfect if you have mobility issues or unable to work-out due to your busy schedule and work hours.

I'm really late to this but swear by Purition shakes - they're made of natural foods, nothing added and although no low fat, they are totally fab and low carb. I usually add in some greek yogurt or berries, and use soya milk or unsweetened hemp so it's really low carb. I also hate breakfast but these are a lifesaver. You usually get an offer for buying 3, from Amazon or direct.
