Does anyone else sleep get affected by eating low carb.

I've really noticed that I'm not falling asleep very well whilst LC.
It seems to be getting worse.
I'm then up again during the night to wee due to all the water intake during the day.
Then I can't get back to sleep.
Last night I felt like I had had caffeine (I don't touch caffeine)
My heart was also beating quite fast. I felt wired.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I get this too once the initial feeling like crap phase has worn off and I have that buzz of energy that follows after it. My sleep isn't as restful as it usually is, I'm awake every hour or so and I toss and turn a lot. I've done low-carb a few times and I've noticed this each time I've started it.

It's certainly a weird feeling. Thankfully it's passed for now.
I did google it and apparently it's a known side effect especially if you already have low blood pressure.

Try drinking a cup of bullion before bed. The side effects are well known to be relieved by it as it replaces the salts lost from carbs.

Thanks. Sounds grim. Confused
