3 weeks ago I broke my foot in quite spectacular fashion and after spending a week in hospital, I've been at my DMs as I have to keep my foot elevated at pretty much all times and can't weight bear at all for 6 more weeks. Full recovery is probably going to take 9 months to a year
.
The lack of activity combined with a limited ability to control my own diet (I'm pretty reliant on mum, who although wonderful isn't great with food- basically she gives me toast at midday ish and then a takeaway at night) is obviously negatively impacting on my weight.
I think for now low carbing will be the best thing as it won't involve weighing, counting etc and I can try and make choices that fit around that way of eating.
The biggest problem that I can see is that although I can give up most things (not worried about chocolate, cakes, biscuits etc). I will really struggle to not have sweetener in a tea or coffee (just one). Would that be ok? Or would I be best to have stevia or something like that?
I will try to cut down and eventually give it up but for now it's a necessity!
TIA
