Ok, I need to lose weight and get healthy however, I am also on a tight budget.
Is it possible to low carb cheaply?

Secondly, can anyone write me a simple menu plan? I'm good at sticking to a set plan but day to day I'm terrible if I am left to my own devices. So I need a 'breakfast lunch dinner' style plan. Happy to repeat the same every day as I do better with routine and less choice.

I would steer clear of swede… it is quite carby!

It's not too bad actually, I checked on BIWIs bootcamp spreadsheet, it's 2.3g carbs per 100g.

Today I had bacon and eggs fried in butter for breakfast, for lunch ham and Philadelphia rolls with salad and for dinner we'll be having slow roasted pork shoulder with hm ratatouille and buttered broccoli.

If fizzy water is easier for you, it's super cheap in Aldi (also Tesco actually)

If you have a local grocer, have a nose to see whether they reduce veg that's at it's selling point. Ours do, so although they're more expensive than the supermarket, I usually get my cauliflower, broc, peppers and lots of other stuff WAY cheaper than anywhere - because I buy it from the reduced stand there. It's better quality often than the supermarket full price stuff!

I don't like fizzy water either Sad

No local grocers, I'd have to drive into town. I have my shopping delivered and just try to pick what will be cheaper, unless I need something specific. We have a lot of frozen veg in winter.

Well I've had an abysmal two days! Desperately trying to move house on my own with two kids under 3 has wrecked things and I've been driven to the wine!
Things look to be much better from tomorrow so I've bought some eggs and some avocados and got my hand blender ready so I'll be on it from tomorrow.

Oh no, that sounds really stressful. Hope you have managed to move now.

I'm struggling with cravings at the moment, but can't give in, I have to stick with this way of eating in the hope my joints will stop hurting so much.
