What to eat when you've been ill?

Hi Not a big poster here but I've been reading the thread and found it invaluable. I've been following the sugar detox for a while and doing really well, have def realised it is sugar that is making me hungry/binge all the time. Trouble is I have just had a d&v bug from hell so have not eaten for 2 days and now I'm starting to get peckish but can't really face anything like a proper meal. Normally after being ill I would have toast or cereal to ease me back into food but don't want to unleash the carb cravings again. Any suggestions for me?

What would be fantastic would be if you made bone broth. I've never made it as I'm too lazy but it's very very nutritious and just the thing if you are ill. I think you'd need to source some bones though!

Poor Mc! I had similar last week - think I mostly had mashed egg/mayonnaise, dioralyte, and slabs of butter on slabs of cheddar, but only one or two mouthfuls very hour or so; it was all I could keep down after the first two days of not keeping anything down... graduated to cauliflower cheese with bits of bacon, leek and mushroom by the end of the week. Take it slowly!
