Is it single or double cream you put in coffee?

DH said double so I just did but it's gone all weird...

What do you all use? I normally use milk, but switching to cream for boot camp. TIA

Wicked, no doubt someone wiser than me will come along, but I'm fairly sure I read somewhere that single cream is much more carby than double, hence you need to use double.

I hope you don't mind if I widen the cream debate, but I'm trying to work out whether double cream is seen as something we really should be adding to things or not. For example, I make omelettes without milk - just with water - and I'm happy with the taste. However, I have seen so many posts where people seem to see adding cream as a positive thing, I added some to my omelette this morning. I can take it or leave it, so what should I do?

You need to pour it over the back of a teaspoon to stop it curdlingSmile

wicked If double cream is 'on the turn' it will separate in coffee.

hope I would just cook an omelette to taste. Water or cream. Cream will add more calories so could sustain you for longer, however if the one without cream fills you up for long enough, you could go with that.

Thanks all! I had put it in the cup before adding the water and mixed it in! DH poured it over the back of a teaspoon and had it sitting on the top - was a tad strange to drink it but ok none the less!

Double it is then, thanks for clarifying! Grin
