Hi all, I have just come to and end on the Cambridge diet, after 5 weeks. The diet worked very well for me as I was a very heavy carb eater. I thought I was eating well, and my weight has always been the same, as I have always been pretty heavy at the gym and did lots of excercise.
I broke my leg quite badly in 3 places inc the ankle and have a lot of metal in there now so excercise is out for me for a white I can't do much apart from walking and even that hurts.
I put on 20lb very quickly ( which I have now lost) but though I wasn't eating much or what I thought was badly I now realize that carbs do not work well for me.
So I am about to embark on low carb, it's complicated as I don't eat red meat or fish, but love quorn eggs and cheese and all veg. I don't want this to be a fad for me, rather a lifestyle choice, I want to incorporate this into my life as much as possible from now on.
Could I have some breakfast lunch and dinners ideas please and also some low carb alcoholic drinks as I'm going on holidays soon and would like to be able to drink, as this is not a diet for me, I am happy at this weight I just want to maintain it. Also is there any cheat days like once a week where you have carbs or is it just a no no all the time?
