Hi everyone, I'm looking to lose about 5-6 kg (so about 1 stone) in the next couple of months. Say by the end of the school year in July.

Half of those kilos were gained in the past 2-3 months, by eating too much bread/pasta/cheese and not being physically active at all. Now, I don't want to count calories and/or have fasting days, so I thought low carb is the way to go - as that's my main sin, carbs.

Dukan and low GI seem interesting, with Dukan being more aggressive? Any other suggestions? And I'm not willing to pay for slimming products or special diet plans... I can reduce quantities and change what I eat, hopefully as a lifestyle change.

Also the plan is to go back to running and/or swimming at least 2-3 times a week. I stopped doing that a long time ago. Right now my only 'exercise' is walking 10-min to the train station and taking stairs at work instead of the lift.

Any thoughts? Many thanks!

If I were you I would just go Paleo or follow the bootcamp threads.

Less rules and complications, just straight forward low carb eating that works!
Running will be fine on this WOE too so you wont need to worry about getting back to it either.

I agree. Bootcamp is perfect for me, uncomplicated & easy to do.
