Summer 25 Boot Camp Week 7: Final week

Well, we reach the final week - at least for me Wink

Hopefully, you’ll have achieved your goals - or at least, managed to change your mindset. Even if you haven’t reached your target weight, think about other NSVs you’ve achieved: whether that’s better skin, more relaxed, looser clothes or as simple as being able to walk past the shelves of sweets in the petrol station and not even think about buying any or is that just me Blush

We’re off on Thursday - I’m still hoping to get under 11.5 stone by then but at least I’m now confident of being under 11st 8.5lb which is what I was when we last went to SA two years ago Grin

Remember, keep drinking the water. Any time I have upward blips, I realise that I hadn’t drunk enough the day before. Hmm

Thanks for the new thread @prettybird ,
I've not posted much but I've been reading everyone's posts and getting inspiration.
I've not been doing very well at low carbing, probably about 50%, my health has been bad since December and I'm struggling with food prep.
But I have kicked the chocolate/sweets/biscuit/cake habit, and as that's the only stuff I would snack on, I count that as a win.

NotDonna · 15/09/2025 14:44

Kicking the sweet stuff is a massive bonus @CherryogDog well done you.

I had stir fry peppers & kale with garlicky scrambled eggs. I’ve made a cottage pie with swede mash for dinner which I’ll serve with broccoli & carrots. Definitely have it drink enough water as been whizzing around all day and forgot my water bottle. Grrr!

Thanks @prettybird and have a great holiday.

I'm away now, for another 2 weeks, so no weight in. But for accountability I'll put my return weight on the spread sheet. That should help me stick to mostly good eating habits while I'm on holiday.

Thank you again @prettybird

Weighed myself and pleased to see that 400g plus a tad has gone again. This close to target I am pleased with that and focus on not gaining it again.

lots of steps today, joined the local grape harvest as a volunteer, now that’s the way to get loads of steps in.

have a good week all.

prettybird · 22/09/2025 12:56

I did manage to get to 11st 7.5lb last week just before going off on holiday Halo Need to get it on to the Spreadsheet.

Been difficult for me to post due to travel, power cuts and family obligations but I hope that everyone is still KOKO Smile

I’m wearing my favourite belt - done up into its second notch - in my shorts today Smile

Hello lovely people and happy holidays to @prettybird

im having a touch of the sulks here. Been keeping on keeping on and feeling really good then had a bit of a surprise as I replaced the batteries in the scales and lo and behold added a kg to my weight. That’s just about the amount I had lost in this bootcamp so sigh. Going to try th scales in work tomorrow and see what there is to see.

feeling good otherwise and reminding myself that’s what it’s about. If I trust the process the weight will come off over time. Onwards and downwards.

venusandmars · 22/09/2025 20:05

I'm on holiday too and my feelings are very up and down. Obviously can't weigh. Some days I think I'm doing really well and confident that I'll return home without too much damage. Other days I feel bloated and I'm convinced I've put on loads of weight. I need to just enjoy my time away and stop stressing. What will be will be, and I know what I need to do to get back to my previous weight once I'm home.

I'm not doing too badly food wise, nothing too unhealthy, but more carbs and more wine than at home.

However, in good news, dh was on a mega hill walk today. Previously I'd have treated myself by indulging in a few cocktails. Instead I went to the spa. Swam, steamed, sauna-ed. Drank lots of water and then treated myself to a lovely facial. I feeel dewy and soft. And a lot more relaxed than if I'd been drinking cocktails all day.
